Eso - Tank Guide

So heres a recap on what i use online and what i do when Tanking in Dungeons




Nord
6% max stamina  20% health recovery
9% max health 2079 cold resistance
reduce all incoming damage by 6%

Team set
Worm Cult drops magic cost of magic abilities by 5% for the group within 28m so in pvp maybe not so great but still good enough the reason i go with this over the stamina regen set you see Deltia with simple every one uses magic in every build. Stamblade shadow disguise Magblade well come on lol Sorc no matter what type uses magic and a reduction helps greatly Templar uses mostly magic unless you run no shields and pure stamina with only a 2h then you might be the only guy needing it but then you have Repentance lol so i go with this set over others as i feel it helps more same with Ebon set giving a Dps 1200 more health is pointless they take 30k hits from a boss in some dungeons so having 18k health or 19.2k is doing shit all.


PVE

Front bar
Sword and board

Taunt - Pierce Armor
Must have to get the job done and a part debuff not much but it helps take down like 1200 resistance i think it is.
Main ability - Heroic Slash
Is a small debuff for damage so the boss deals less to you and the team also its an ultimate generator and gets you ultimate faster.
Shield - Volatile Armor
5.2k shield buff up and with this on you should be and cap 33.5k resistance.
Heal - Coagulated Blood
Gotta have some kinda heal keep you alive while you tank this is your best bet can use blocking and its instant not a heal over time.
Buff - Absorb Magica
It allows you to block more and cost less its a must have on this bar and you might not use it much ever but if you have a mage or a Sorc in pvp chucking shit at you hit this and eat up the damage and get a free heal from it lol.
Ultimate - Bats
Dont use this is an emergency only buff heal up and stay alive its cheap and keeps you up and tanking.

Area aoe/Cc - Choking Talons
Jump into the enemy and hit this hold them in place it does a damage over time all be it small amount and its a synergy so lets team mates hit it for more damage and gives them back stamina magic and health  for using it if they have the passives and it reduuces the damage you take by like 15% from them while they are held down so a small debuff to.
Main ability - Eruption
Its an aoe but we aint using it for damage its a stamina regen ?? trust me its in the passives and you get back like 5% stamina from hitting this.
Shield - Elusive Mist
Life saver while in mist form you take just 25% damage thats it so if a boss hits for 100k damage buff up and then go into mist for and take just 25k damage with my health at 28k or more i survive.
Debuff - Elemental Susceptibility
Free no cost ability this is kinda the same as the buff for weapon damage only this you can slap on the boss or enemy only once it stays up and running as long as you keep doing damage to that enemy so hitting Taunt and Talons means you keep this running and it does the same for the team as buffing up weapons only doesnt cost 3k magic and need to be reapplied every 20seconds.
Cc/Control - Unrelenting Grip
Jump in Talons and then look around forget the group thats the Dps problem look for any enemies not in the area and pull them in and Talons again hold everyone in the one spot and let the Dps deal damage 1 time to everyone and kill them faster with less resources used.
Ultimate - War Horn pvp its Leap
Gives the team more max health stamina and magic and lets them crit for more and deal more damage.


Idea behind the new set up is to not cost me as much stamina and still reduce the enemies resistance but now with this debuff of Elemental Susceptibility it refreshes any time i deal damage to the enemy so i can keep hitting taunt and now it never drops allowing my team to keep getting harder hits dealing more damage. While on my sword and board i can use it for Eruption thats the same time roughly as my taunt letting me use magic and stamina casting them then block if i need to or swap bars back to my staff and use my Chains to pull in any loose npc and then grip them in place with Talons my damage buff from Igneous Weapons last 20 seconds so i can then hit heavy attacks and keep my magic up always and swap back to taunt when i need to.

Tank Role
Ok so thats my gear and set up and whats on my bars those abilities are in order appearing on my screen thats how i run them. So heres why and what tips i can give you over other tips and advice i have heard and seen online


Some people run with the same groups an the same people all the time so they never know what real weakness they have within there set up as they have the same friends in great builds covering Healing dealing high Dps meaning they deal with any problems coming from damage and sustain way to fast so the person is never in enough trouble to see how good they are or how good the build really is.

I only play dungeons with dungeon finder giving me all new random people from lvl 20 to lvl 49 or chap 102 and guys that are even champ 160 to 600 but they dont have all matching gear or dont have purple jewelry you see any twat can play for hours and gain xp and become champ 600 without any skill or have enough cash to buy over priced items in stores for builds i seen guys running 4 parts of one set and 3 parts of another cause they never got the rings or never got any weapons dozen of guys who play but normal people dont play Eso on xbox one like i do for more than 2 hours per day thats just a normal account of time for gamers of all the gamers i played with and friends with only one plays more than me on Eso and one or two might play more time online on xbox but not the one single game like me of all my friends who play i have between 5 and 100 time the kills in pvp and at this point even though i never liked dungeons early on i still ran more than all but 2 people i know so most gamers dont spend 5 hours a day on one game grinding out mats or gear.

In dungeons play some Eso and deal such low poor Dps at times like thats the biggest down side to a team game on Eso in dungeons is the low poor Dps the heals can be good but the gamer bad an never heals me when i need it or tries to deal Dps but a proper group running well can blitz a dungeon like Darkshade way faster than when im with say a good Healer and two bad Dps most times with my Tank id prefer the poor Healer and self heal and worry about it while the Dps destroy the enemies like last night i played Darkshade two times in a row second time maybe half the time cut down on random groups and the boss was faster as well easily cut down maybe 25% time or more but thats just random shit ok so im rambling here lets get back to it cunts.


So your job as a Tank is to fucking Tank not Dps or group Heals its fucking do one thing eat damage gobble that shit up like pacman to many shit builds and shit advice on youtube about Tank/Healer builds or Dps tank nah you shit get offline son a Tank is a Tank and thats it you dont have enough slots for skills to help the group enough as a Tank never mind do shit like damage fucking hell finding sets that are good for you is bad enough but keeping up resistance and buffs and debuffs takes all your time you don have time for shit else.

So heres me running into an area...
buff up bar swap jump into the middle slap down Talons grip everyone then start using Chains to pull in anyone outside the kill zone that the group is now dropping damage onto grip them all down and slap down some Eruption and deal damage now the damage is crap and slow but its not about huge damage the volume of damage is not at question here its about dealing to gain ultimate faster fr the group your basically a fucking generator and need to produce the electricity for the team to power up shit they have not you. So keep those fucks gripped down in location and bar swap back and block and buff up if you need it other wise slap those Eruptions down Grip them and chuck in a few Elemental Susceptibility its a great free ability and drops the enemy armor by 5200 so they team deal more damage faster

Now once you get to the boss its the same slap Elemental Susceptibility bar swap buff up and jump in and taunt that fucker with Pierce Armor then Heroic Slash and then back to Staff and Eruption and get some heavy attacks in and gain ultimate your entire job is to generate that ultimate and get War Horn up and let the team deal more damage and kill the enemy faster block when needed and make sure to swap back in time before the taunt runs out hit the boss again.

Ok so rotation for Tank of course taking into account any movement and people down and things going on


1 Elemental Susceptibility - Debuff
bar swap
2 Volatile Armor - Buff up
3 Pierce Armor - Taunt / Debuff
4 Heroic Slash - Damage Debuff / Gain Ult
block if needed or bar swap
5 Eruption - Aoe gain stamina back and generate Ult
Heavy attacks when you can or swap and block or use Mist Form
6 Pierce Armor
7 Heroic Slash
bar swap
8 Eruption
Heavy attacks and then start over..

The Elemental Susceptibility never drops unless you dont deal damage to the boss but you need to taunt him so thats never gonna go away no magic cost what so ever so basically its a free buff instead of a Weapons buff that lasts maybe 20seconds this is a resource drain in magic and having to always apply adding to the work load. Once you hit that then its buff up and that normally last 20 seconds giving you time to taunt and generate ultimate and rotate through abilities like i just laid out and by that time you should be back to the start and buff up again.


Things you aint when Tanking


You are not your guild.
Your not how much gold you have in the bank.
You are not the mount you ride.
You not the healer
YOU ARE NOT THE FUCKING DPS


Anything else on your bar is a fucking waste and pointless
