Movie reviews - Aliens

ALIENS

BASIC PLOT
Fifty seven years after her ordeal on the Nostromo Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is sent back to the same planet it all started on.

CAST
Sigourney Weaver as Ripley
Micheal Biehn as Hicks
Bill Paxton as Hudson
Lance Henriksen as Bishop

FACT
In the scene with Sigourney Weaver and Paul Reiser they talk about the Jordans family finding the alien ship Sigourney says  "i just checked the company log directive dated 6.12.79 signed Burke Carter J" this is actually a reference to ALIEN(1979) that movie was put in theaters in America on the 6/12/79 American date format cause they do it cunty.

THOUGHTS AND BEST BIT
As a kid you have to love when the marines get ambushed by the aliens and it all goes tits up then its action and chaos.

Classic from Cameron. Starting from where the last film left off we find Ripley in a shuttle and then we learn that the alien planet from the first film is now full of human colonists. Then of course Ripley is sent back with a team of marines. What follows is in my opinion the best ever sequel to any movie franchise ever.

Directing wise its brilliant Cameron gets everything right from the writing to the style the looks to the marines outfits and even the pace of the movie it just all fits and still holds up even today maybe not effects wise in places but thats cgi thirty years on so hey cant have it all. And like all sequels you must add and continue the story and be true to the characters and he does this as well Ripley is still Ripley and the movie adds the question who laid all these eggs? and then it answers it in style. Not bad for a budget of only 18 million dollarydoos.

As for the cast well we of course do have Sigourney back as Ripley. With some new editions to the cast including the late Bill Paxton RIP dude and even a last minute replacement with Michael Beihn as Hicks. And not forgetting old Lance Henriksen as Bishop who doesnt love him.

This is an awesome to watch for scifi fans and fans of the alien franchise and unlike in ALIEN(1979) you dont see some huge guy in a dildo suit. It may not hold up to a younger generation who have never seen the original but this is movie gold its one of the best action flicks ever made.
