THOUGHTS AND BEST BITS
Has to be the nightclub fight scene its got some great action during it really brutal and fun to watch for any action junkie.
Its a fun film but not a great film. It starts with the typical action style goodguy getting fucked over then goes back after the badguys. Gets a little messed up along the way but hangs in there with a typical side wound by the end.
Story wise its basic but thats whats needed here in an action film you need a simplistic story mode for action not an over the top plot twist and to much info with action the simpler the better.
Its got the action but the cut of the movie just doesnt sit well with me but its got that action rewatchable vibe to it its not like some movies you never go back to this is one that you will watch from time to time. But sadly the cut of the movie is just all over the place for me and thats what spoils it for me. To me it feels like they made a two hour movie and then chopped it to bits to try and make it a ninety minute action flick instead of just making it a good movie. Even the trailers have scenes cut from the movie so its clearly been chopped down for some reason. And then the edit of the movie back and forth in a time line this shit doesnt happen on the likes of PREDATOR(1987) or COMMANDO(1985) even action films have rules to them. And then you have the pain in the ass fucking subs all over the movie i mean really ? an American made movie made for the country who hates to read a single fucking subtitle in a movie and you have probably over half the dialogue in the movie in fucking Russian thats just plain stupid.
Action wise however its fucking great its done so slick so smooth so cool and based on real styles and movements just with that little movie magic sprinkled over the top lol. Its got some great fight scenes during the movie.
Acting wise muh its an easy ride for some of the cast but Alfie Allen just bores me im sure its 50/50 with the dumb character and his acting but still get him off my screen. Then we have Ian lovejoy Mcshane who could have been replaced by a talking umbrella cause hes got next to nothing to do and adds nothing to this movie other than a voice over in the trailer lol hes the Charlize Theron of this movie....

As for Adrianne Palicki as the female assassin i just didnt get it it was like part of the story or back story was missing for me did she like him hate him does she want to kill him cause hes like an old school legend ? it just didnt sit well with me and then shes fucking done away with so seemed pointless to keep her around. And even my old buddy Daniel im not van damme Bernhardt is in here and hes pretty much the badguy final fight guy who works and protects the main villain only it never really happens lol cant think why but it doesnt.
Over all its a fun flick and worth a watch but for me the pace of the film just is all over the place and speeds up to then crash back to slow then jumps up a gear then hits a flat spot with half the movie to go and the last twenty minutes seems to kinda slow down and almost drag a bit. If you like hard hitting 18 cert action ovies give this a watch.
