FACT
In one scene Zod and Kel-el fight and smash into a satellite it has the name wayne enterprises on it.
Also in one scene we see Kal-el in his ship/fortress of solitude and he looks at four cryogenic chambers BUT only three have bodies in them.
THOUGHTS AND BEST BITS
Well i do have a few favorite bits but i would have to say the part when superman hears general Zod is chatting to his mother from the other side of kansas and then takes off and flies right into Zod and drags him of smashing his face in. That and the first fight with Jor-el and Zod.
So basically its a remake right so nothing new in one sense as well all know the story by now. But this is done in a more realistic style in a real world setting not so much of a comic book silly world.
So we kick of the film with a much much bigger start showing a lot more of krypton and its people and technology which was pretty cool. But once on earth it does hit a problem. it jumps right to Superman as an adult we dont have any build up or back story as an audience your just left to figure it out from trailers or know hes Superman if you havent seen the trailers or dont know the actor you now think your in the cinema watching a repeat of the BOURNE IDENTITY(2002) now at this point other than the fact your just ment to know its him we do jump right into the action and then its a sort of build up of back story moments and Lois lane running around trying to find out who Clark is and its kinda to fast and to all over the place. Dont get me wrong you can keep up if you know some of the back story and have seen the films But if your a bit younger and have never seen a Superman movie your gonna be fucking lost. But then it slows back down and sort of gets back on track and Superman finds out who he really is and then the shit hits the fan. Zod shows up and thats when it all kicks off with a ton of action and yes in parts its moving just a bit to fast and almost seems a little to light on the real life soldiers that dont seem to be anywhere ?. But all in its a great watch.
The special effects are superb. The actors dont look like bendy fake cgi guys and the action is good. We have Superman getting chucked around a city and causing all sorts of damage.
As for the cast well i was a little ify on Henry as hes a bit of a newcomer but his style does fit the Superman cape. As for Amy adams im not into her at all her acting is fine and the part of Lois was good but i just dont like her fucking face its that simple just sumin about her bugs me. For me the biggest and best actors here are by far Maximus decimus meridius crowe and The bodygaurd these boys ruled. Both have very different styles and different characters to play and do a fantastic job. Now there was one surprise cast member who for me was just outstanding. No not Larry Fishburne he sucks ass but rather Antje traue. Yeh her name sounds like toilet bleach but she was the little hottie in PANDORUM(2009) now she played the evil Faora-ul one of Zods minions but she did rock the part.
I might not buy it on dvd later this year id probably cheap out and download it straight to my hard drive lol but this is a must see this summer. And for me so far this year its the film of the year.
